Downtown Street/Utility Re-Construction

Ribbon Cutting was Tuesday, July 28, at the intersection of South 6th and Laurel Streets.  Over 50 people attended to celebrate the completion of the construction project.

About the Project

Historic Downtown Brainerd was under construction but Open for Business in early summer 2009. The work included extending storm sewers, replacing the sanitary sewer (over 80 years old!), repairing water mains, new road surfacing, and new sidewalks. Visitors to Historic Downtown may now enjoy new pedestrian-friendly furnishings.
